A high vacuum filling system has a product tank open to atmosphere and a separate vacuum chamber connected to the vent tube from the filling head. This arrangement provides a higher filling rate than low vacuum or gravity level fillers. Depending on the degree of vacuum, the product tank can be located below the filling heads.
