Self-adhesive (pressure-sensitive) labels are the first choice for many products packaged in rigid containers largely on account of their ease and flexibility of application. Self-adhesive labels are also widely applied to numerous other types of product and package in a wide range of label sizes. However, the operating method of all self-adhesive label applicators is broadly similar to the example in the video below.
Most applications use an inline machine configuration with one or more label applicators. Rotary machine configurations capable of higher operating speeds can also be equipped with label applicators.
