In a rotary type labelling machine filled and sealed containers transfer to a rotating carousel where one or more labels are applied from stations on the periphery of the carousel. This example shows a labelling aggregate for pre-cut labels using cold glue. Rotary type machines are also widely used to apply self-adhesive (pressure-sensitive) labels, wrap-around labels and sleeve labels. The links illustrate in more detail the methods for applying different types of label.
Labels can also be applied on machines with an inline configuration , particularly self-adhesive and sleeve labels.
